Autumn Fungi

Now that the dry summer is over and the autumn rains are here, fungi are making an appearance in all sorts of places. This is a great time of year to go on a fungi spotting walk.

Look closely under trees ...
Brown pink gill mushrooms

and at lawns...
Shaggy inkcap
and even up in trees...
Porebracket fungi
you'll spot all sorts of fungi of interesting shapes.

Fungi can be colourful too, I'll be searching for fungi of interesting colours for my next blog
